With a population of just under 2000 the Village of Lumby- the Gateway to the Monashee Mountains in the beautiful North Okanagan - is located 25 km. east of Vernon on highway 6 in the scenic junction of three valleys. The area is often referred to as Whitevalley. Whitevalley includes Lavington, which is the eastern section of the District of Coldstream, Cherryville lying east of Lumby, and the surrounding rural lands of Lumby itself.
