Vernon Regional Transit SystemThe transit service provides conventional low-floor accessible service and custom door-to-door handyDART service within the City of Vernon and District of Coldstream, and a blended conventional/custom "Community Bus" servicing the North Okanagan Regional District, including Spallumcheen, Armstrong, Enderby, Lavington, Whitevale and Lumby.The conventional buses in Vernon run Monday through Saturday from 7:10 a.m. to 6:35 p.m. The Community Bus runs on Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The North Okanagan Transit System operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. The buses route to most major destinations in the City of Vernon, to the District of Coldstream, and Spallumcheen, Armstrong, Endergy, Lavington, Whitevale and Lumby. You may pay by any of these methods:

Greyhound operates terminals nationwide where tickets are sold. You can purchase tickets for travel weeks in advance or for the next bus available. a Greyhound agency. In addition to the major terminals, Greyhound offers ticket services at independent agents
across Canada. These locations accept cash and traveler's cheques and most accept major credit and debit cards. They
do not accept personal or company cheques or money orders.Prepaid tickets. To purchase a ticket for pick-up at the terminal, or to send a same-day ticket to a person in another city, a Prepaid Service Order (PSO) is available at major Greyhound terminals nationwide. A non-refundable service charge applies for this transaction. For a service charge of $15 they can accept payment by credit card (VISA, Master Card, American Express), and fax the ticket request to the city where the traveler is originating. A $15 US service charge is assessed for trips to the United States. Call 1-800-661-TRIP (8747) for information. When purchasing in person, cash, debit or credit card is acceptable as forms of payment where applicable. Greyhound buses travel around the clock, so you can travel by day and enjoy the scenery through wide panoramic windows. Or, select a night service, and relax in a reclining seat with reduced interior lighting. All Greyhound buses are equipped with air conditioning, an on-board restroom, and reclining seats with headrests, footrests and tinted windows. Feel free to bring reading material, radio headsets and a small pillow for your comfort. Food and non-alcoholic beverages may be carried on board for personal consumption. On many routes, we show movies. Headsets are available for purchase for $3 in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto. Our movies have been edited and pre-screened making them suitable for all viewing audiences. Radios, laptops and other electronic items may be carried on board, provided that they do not disturb fellow passengers and that headphones are used.
